Costco Grocery Haul

June 15, 2023 by thebehhome Leave a Comment

About this Costco grocery haul

We are trying to spread our costco grocery haul to be a once a month event. This means doubling (or tripling) up on some items. It also means it will appear that we are spending more there. So just keep in mind that this is a once a month thing.

Why only go to Costco once a month?

Since we live an hour away from any Costco, it makes sense for us to not go often. Going only once a month can also save us money. We are diligent about get what we need for the month and are able to stock up our pantry.

Why do you have two receipts?

I like to see how much food items were versus non food items. So our food item total was $760.71. Our non food item total was $254.70.

This left a grand total of $1015.41.

Why do you share the total cost?

I don’t mind being transparent in what we spend. We have had times of little and times of plenty. We are grateful to be currently living in a time of plenty at the moment. If we weren’t, we could definitely scale back and shop more frugally. We would not buy any organic, snacks, treats, juices, and would stick to needs versus wants.
